Psychoeducational and Psychological Evaluations
The decision to have a psychological or psycho-educational evaluation is one that often comes with many questions and concerns. I am committed to providing personal and competent attention to families, and offer a variety of different types of evaluation services. When evaluating a child or adolescent, I believe that it is critically important to consider that individual as he or she relates to his or her own environment. It is equally important to consider as many different aspect of an individual as possible to the most comprehensive picture related to his or her environment.
I provide consultation services to families who are navigating through the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) process and interest in having independent support in reviewing documents, attending I meetings, and assessing needs.
Evaluations are also conducted to best ascertain an individual's profile of strengths and needs, and can be requested by families and school. More specifically, evaluations are specifically tailored to assess issues including autism specturm disorders, attention-related disorders, developmental delays and needs, learning issues, and behavioral conceerns. Evaluations are conduted for individuals 2 1/2 years of age through adults.
Dr. von Zuben also conducts evaluations for those students who are interest in applying for accommodations on stadardized test, including the PSATs and SATs, in additon to assessments to help inform the transition to college and accommodations and services at the college level .
All learning and psychological evaluations are specifically designed to meet an individual's needs, and begin with a family consultation to assess concerns, answer questions, and outline objectives. All evaluations also include school feedback and data at the family's request.
